Need help IDing two engines so I can cull the heard. First one Webra speed 61 , side ex , rear intake. Says made in Austria on shiny case head is dull as cast finish. Box label has 1026 RC on side. Piston looks like single ring and appears new unrun but green packing foam is dissintegrted to a powder and in everything. weighs 16 1/4 oz. Does this have a use for Carrier or just RCguys. Other engine is Rossi R 40 FI RC ABC -11.40- Italy side ex front int. new in box. This thing is built like a Keith Black Hemi . Head looks like black anodized finish. Came with a muffler that is combo cast alu. and spun alu. looks like a short tuned pipe . Engine weighs 15oz. with rc carb inplace w/o muffler. Would kinda like to know if they are good for the carrier classes or just desirable to RC guys. Can't see myself using them and would rather just stick with CL stunt. Thanks for any help and insight.

I thought you did a good job of identifying the engines in your post. These are both pretty high output R/C engines, but not racing engines. They'd be fairly suitable for Navy Carrier, if not highly competitive. I'm not sure if they still fly Class 2, but that is/was the second class, for .40's.
Finding a Navy Carrier enthusiast would be more difficult than finding an R/C bod to sell them to. You might want to put an ad for them in the Navy Carrier forum? Or, you could put 'em on eBay, but there's no telling how much you'd get. A friend just showed me the MVVS .40R/C he bought on eBay for $28...in nice shape. He'll probably stick it in a carrier model, 'cause he likes to fly with a throttle. H^^ Steve

Thanks for the reply Steve. I just wanted to make sure of what they might be desirable for today. I am sure I will never use them and they seem like well made units, Ebay it is.
