Title: Engine Opinions and Info
Post by: David Ruff on April 06, 2018, 12:49:50 PM
I have two engines here (photos below) and am wondering if they are worthy CL engines and if anybody has any experience with them??

One if the ST 56 and the other is the Magnum 40 Pro.

I also need a prop washer for the Magnum so if anybody has a line on that....

A prop washers a prop washers a prop washer .

The 56 is the ST 60 with a mm smaller piston dia. 51, 56 & 60 flown in same plane HERE : . ( hit user name for the others ).

If you dont want the magnum , give it to ME ! .  :-X for a Merco 61 that needs a Ring or ABC ! . S?P S?P VD~

the FSR ( Magnum 40 ) is a high timed OS FSR of Bob Hunt 78? World Chumps fame . Genisis . Many used em in that era .
Tank needs to be 1/8 High for even run.

4 or 5 inch pitch prop .

Got conned on one with a missaligned bored wrist pin hole , so the pistons twisted , so liner was twisted to not unmask cut outs .  ??? :P
( in other words it was sh*t )
The 45 ( and theres a 46 the same case ) Magnum , & Royal may be a bit more docile . a ton of power . The ASP is timed to high ( 160 Ex)
Dunno on the Thunder Tiger . Theyre ALL Clones of the OS 40 & 45 FSR . OS did a 40 FSR S ringed C/L Stunt F2B version . Differant Crank .

So theyre both good injuns if used appropriately . Fly 60 Ounces No trouble .
