Title: Diesel fuel issues
Post by: FLOYD CARTER on April 21, 2019, 06:30:12 PM
I'm looking for a fueling bulb (rubber?) that will work with model diesel fuel.  All the Sullivan fuel bulbs are for glo fuel.  Any ideas?

I have been using the black Sullivan fuel bulb for about 3 decades with Diesel fuel and have not had any problems!

I don't think that that bulb is available anymore. I also used one of them for years running Davis diesel heads. The problem is that Sullivan like most of the vendors is greatly reducing their inventory of products simply because they don't sell in enough quantities to be profitable anymore. The bulb just disappeared from lack of sales.

Floyd, I don't have an actual fuel bulb, but if you remind me of your address via PM, I can send you a few polyethylene terephthalate squeeze bottles. I have held various chemicals in them, although not diesel. I can send you a few sizes for testing if you'd like.
Mostly I use them as Cox fuelers.

Hi all. Automotive widndscreen wash flexible plastic tubee is cheap and diesel fuel resistant. Try it. Auto parts store sell them for almost nothing!!!!.

Kind regards.

Manuel.

My thanks to all who offered suggestions.  I finally ordered a plastic bottle from McMaster-Carr.  Kind of pricey for a plastic bottle, but if it works, it will solve my problems.
