Title: Cox .09 engine
Post by: Bootlegger on September 13, 2021, 07:43:24 AM

Got  Medallion 09 Cox engine and can't get the piston and liner to seperate from the block, the exhaust port is real small and the "fork" will not fit in the ex port.  Any suggestions/ideas that will work?  I need to check piston rod slack ... HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~>   I'm obliged.. #^ #^

Got it today, pulled glow plug, found that the cyl had been end milled, used a 3/4" open end wrench and got it to come loose, now to look for other parts..   Much obliged to ALL the members here... D>K :! n~ #^ y1 <=

I sure hope you didn't distort the cylinder by using a makeshift wrench on it. A hardwood stick through the exhaust port is the safest way + some heat.

I've had a Medallion ,09 and a .15  Both were cranky and hard to start.  Here's hoping you have better results.
