Title: Clarence Lee still around?
Post by: Gordon Tarbell on December 30, 2012, 07:19:39 AM
I remember reading his articles in the model magazines. For many years he would modify engines for people, kind of a blue print and mild port job(PDP). I still have a NIB K&B 61RC he did years ago that one day will probably put in a plane even though it isn't a stunt type engine. Seems like he was an early version of Randy Smith(PA) or Richard Oliver/Dubb Jett (RO jett).

I have had Clarence put Helicoils in several of my old ignition engine heads that the spark plugs would not tighten up anymore. He does that as a service and hardly charges anything for his work. A really nice guy to do buisness with.

Clarence Lee frequently runs an ad in the Classifieds in Model Aviation. Not always every month, but often. No website or email, just phone and address...just the kinda guy you want!  H^^ Steve
