evolution 36

Has anyone experienced the Fox Burp running this engine on a profile plane?  Mine after 5 runs on the bench does this with two different tanks on my Banshee that flew great with both a Fox 35 and a Double Star 40.  I'm running pressure from the stock tongue muffler. Also note that on the second flight in trying to turn the needle passed the stop I bent the spring and after about a minute the engine went very lean and died after about a minute.  Turned out it fried the plug so I've also tried thunderball R/C idlebar, and a Fox miracle plugs.  Any suggestions? Like some others, I found the NV stop to be a nuisance, so I removed it.  My evo 36 runs just fine on SIG 10-10-10 fuel and a RSM 10-6 wood prop.  Not sure what glo plug, but I usually have Thunderbolt plugs in my flight box.   I haven't experienced any long break-in issues.  A few minutes on the test stand and then into a Palmer Chief to fly. So far, so good.

I changed out the stock rear needle set up and went with the OS Max rear needle, found that I could get a much better needle setting and I also went with the smallest venturi, ran it in on the bench for about 45 min then flew it, no burp.
I flew it with a 101/2x41/2 APC prop at about 10,500 rpm on 5% nitro 22% oil half & half.
   Hopr that this helps...

You are running too much oil.  Use Cool Power 10% all synthetic (green) with an enya #3 (hot) plug.
