Title: Ceramic Fox 35 - Can you lap them in?
Post by: Dennis Toth on July 02, 2012, 03:06:31 PM
Guys,
I'm putting together a Fox 35 with the ceramic P/L. In the past with the old steel P/L's I would lap them to get a reasonable fit, would reduce break-in to one tank and smooth out the run. Can you do this with the ceramic?

NO  don't do it, the coating is thin and they didn't fit them all that tight, you will be better served to run it in
Now the ABC version is different and you can lap it in

Thanks Randy,
I'll just make sure it all fits into the case smooth and will run it in a few tanks with the 5% nitro and 20% castor plus 5% sync, light load.
