RO JETT .67 Fuel Consumption
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:47:35 AM »
I've been running my .67 recently & am not using much fuel  4.5 ounces is plenty to get through the pattern.  I'm using a 12-7   2blade  prop YS 20/20 fuel with a header muffler ( no pipe) running in a 4 stroke .  The .76 is virtually the same beast so anyone with the 67 or 76 using a NON PIPED setup feel free to tell me how much fuel you use.

Good morning,
I apologize for my bad English but I hope you understand the same.
Lately I have been using a RO-Jett 67 with a header muffler, I have not found a definitive set-up but currently the best configuration is:

Fuel              : 10% nitro - 22% synthetic oil
Venturi          : 5 mm (about 0.197 inch)
Propeller        :13-5 3B B.Eather
Head Gaskets : Stock + 20/100 mm (about 0.008 inch)
RPM               : 8500

Consumption  : 130 cc to 5'40'' engine running (about 4.55 ounces)

I fly to 180 mt. altitude (about 590 ft.)

( If I am not mistaken in the U.S.A.  you have a longer flight time )

I hope this help.

Massimo.

I obviously don't, but - a 12-7? Really?  I think that explains the low fuel consumption, you aren't generating much HP.

John , RO Jett 67 SE with muffler supplied with engine 15% Byrons Heli fuel all synthetic  , Discovery Prop wood 13.4x5.5  around 7000 rpm

using +- 5 oz at 1300 ft altitude. I used 6 oz with my RE Jett 67 down near Fresno ,Ca  Venture is stock. Mine runs in pretty much solid 4 stroke.

Hi Walter , I'm having a little trouble finding Byrons fuel , my local hobby shop closed a few weeks ago , Some fuel suppliers use higher viscosity oil in Heli fuel , Byrons is thinner oil.
I see Morgans  makes a couple blends of Heli fuel  , Wildcat & Powermaster also , but my closest hobby shop is 56 miles from Seattle.  So I'm in the undecided frame of mind at this point.
