I have a gallon of 10% nito with 18% oil. How can I bring the fuel up to 22% oil by adding castor oil?

There used to be a great site that did the calculations for you if anyone has or knows of a similar program please post it.

For laughs lets just say that a gallon of of RC fuel is by volume 18% oil of some sort.
That means .18 * 128 = about 23 OZ of oil already in full gallon jug of fuel that you just bought at the Radio ARF store.
You want 22% fuel and it's not all going to fit in that jug you just bought so I'm going to hit stealth mode here and leave the extracurricular real estate management and decanter of choice activities to your discretion.
~algebraic mix math~
23 + X = .22 * (128 + X)
23 + X = 28.2 + .22X
.78X = 5.2
X = 5.2/.78
X = 6.67 ounces of extra lube is needed to get your stock gallon of 18% oil by volume RC fuel to 22%.
Oh by the way, you now have 128 + 6.67 = 134.67 ounces of liquid and .22 * 134.67 = 23 + 6.67 or just around 29.67 ounces of oil in the bucket of fuel you just modified.

There's often that much head room in a gallon container of fuel. If there isn't, then put the castor into an empty container, then pour the fuel back and forth a few times to mix everything up, then go fly.

Get a smaller container(1/2 gal, Quart) and just mix that amount. Put the castor in first and top off with fuel.

Thanks for the feedback..I understand the calcualtions.......beeen away from Cl for many years and somewhat rusty on the details, but it's great to be back.
