Title: ? about Max-S 30 & 35
Post by: rich gorrill on April 22, 2016, 02:26:38 PM
Hello all I hope someone can help me with a question. I have a Max-S 30 with a worn out rod. Can I use the rod from a Max-S 35 to replace it. I don't know if the difference between the two engines is the bore or the stroke.

Common problem with both .30S and .35S. You can convert a .30S to a .35S, so I'd bet the rod would be the same. There are (or were) bushed aftermarket rods available. Ask Leonard Neuman, Randy Smith or Brian Gardner, and maybe use more castor oil than you have been!  y1 Steve

Yes you can, I have stock rods and better  hard aluminum rods for these engines
