I see Enya have just released a new CL .45, a basic 'SS45S' with plain bearing and iron/steel p/c. They're quoting 1.25 hp and 274g, but I guess the real question is how it runs. In any case, it's nice to see a company actually supporting CL by coming out with new stuff. Only about US$110, so it might be well worth a look.

As we all know, Enya is a very high quality product for mass production purposes. I would say the new .45 would be a very usable stunt engine, maybe needing to run a wet 2 with a low pitch prop. Ken Enya seems to keep up with things fairly well. Who knows, maybe a threat to the beloved OS .46LA?? (doesn't retail for much more)

I ordered one yesterday so when it arrives I'll do my usual and strip it down to measure port timings etc, take photos of the bits and then give it a nice careful run in before it goes into a model.

Looking forward to the report. 8)

Me too. About 6 months ago, Ken Enya ran a poll on their facebook page about what sort of run CL fliers prefer (and isn't it great that there's a mass producer out there doing stuff like that?). Perhaps unsurprisingly, 4/2/4 came out ahead. I'm wondering if this new SS45S is a result of this, so it'll be interesting to see if the timing is different to the regular SS45 Ring.

I tried to e-mail Ken asking that question, is it setup for 2/4.
Had no reply?
