I stopped at a Garage sale early this afternoon just for schnitz and giggles.
Putzing around I stumbled on 2 new in box engines. 1 Magnum 46XLS and 1 ASP 46AII, both RC of course.
35 bucks later I was on my way home with them.
I would like to convert these or at least one of them over to CL use.
What actual parts (I know I need to replace the carb with venturi) or should I say
whos parts can I get to make the conversion?
Thanks much

I'd say do what I do: pack them up and send them to Jim Lee. (Lees Machine Shop). He will make venturis for them to fit. Needle/ spray bar sets can be had from a few sources but seem a little scarce right now for some reason. I use quite a few Brodak units in my conversions.

Just a thought,, I am not really sure how well these motors translate to CL,, at least to CL stunt,,
if it were me I think I would sell or trade them to someone who flies RC for a couple LA 46s,, They are much more mainstream stunt motors,,
that said, if you are planning on just playing around, then just wire the throttle open and fly ,, but they both are fairly heavy motors and for anything 40 sized might be a problem for balance,,
the LA 46 is not popular with RC guys because its not very powerfull,, but for control line, they are very freindly,, LOTS of info on here about them,,
I would even be interested in making a deal with you on them perhaps ( since I fly the dark side,,)

I will be flying just for pleasure.
