It's a bit confusing, but for the GP range, Thunder Tiger and Magnum are the same. Same factory, same innards, different logo on the side of the crankcase.
It is a different story now.
If you have a CL TT engine, yes, the venturi is too big. The venturi from the GP 25 is in the ball park for the GP 40.
If you have the CL motor with a normal NVA, Scott Riese, Randy Smith and Len Neumann can all supply venturis in the correct sizes. There are probably others but these are the people I've dealt with.
If you have a radio engine with a carb, the hole for the pinch bolt is 4mm dia and you can use a Super Tigre NVA. The ST NVA comes in different lengths and it is a good idea to have the hole in the spraybar on the centreline of the crankcase. The obove-mentioned suppliers should be able to advise on the exact NVA that is required.
