Fomasis Wing Cores
« on: April 24, 2023, 05:39:19 PM »
Just to cheer you up, the Middlesex NJ flyers started a nice flying a Foam Nemesis.  Al Ferraro worked it out and built the first one some 5-6 years ago.
I've cut about a dozen pairs of wings asked for by some flyers.  I may build one as is.  In one of the other posts Dennis Leonardi posted a pic of
me and a Bumble Bee- pretty much a tapered Nemesis.  It was an excellent  flyer that caught quite a number of high flyers when they weren't looking.  With a pb Fox CS it weighed less than 16oz, and had withstood a straight in landing over soft, tall grass.  It also outflew several similar size planes weighing in at over 20 oz with ease.

If anyone is interested, I've got patterns for a 54in. span Speed Limit/Fast Combat plane.  The prototype flies very well,  and holds up pretty well(obviously not more than one straight in crash at a time)  I've already done that.

Cheers to all in the New Year,  I REALLY appreciate all the good news from everybody who checked in!

Phil Cartier.
