A Quicker and a Scorpion
« on: June 21, 2018, 08:54:26 PM »

First flight of the Scorpion today. It was a silkspan covered relic that I fixed and recovered in dress shop Rayon overlaid with Phil's SLC. An Enya 29 on pressure for power. A stable, fun flyer.

I swapped my Old Time Buzzard Bombshell for the Quicker at an RC swap meet. It came with a poor running slant plug Fox 29 that I replaced with the 36. It's covered in silkspan. It too flies well but turns tighter than the Scorpion.

Just flying them for fun at GX speeds

I had a plane very similar to the Scorpion, but with a sheeted leading edge, Spectrum maybe.  It flew well on a G.21.  Don't remember what happened to it.  I'll have to dig around some.

We had discussions about this aircraft"Scorpion". Many many years ago.  Basically a minor modified Voodoo.  Two booms , inside wing one rib more than the outside, balsa shaped motor mount.  All being Voodoo attributes.
