September 8, 2013 at the Garden State Circle Burners field in Lincoln Park, N.J.
Get your old Voodoos, Giant Killers, Half Fast, Wow's or whatever and bring them out to fly or just show. Other than the usual AMA safety rules there are none! Matches will neither be encouraged or discouraged. The main idea is to see and hear the old junk fly!
Any questions: Tom Schaefer earthingbrush2@yahoo.com or Tom Hampshire th31919@gmail.com

PS Please bring your own food and drink.
-
Too far for this old man. Glad to see ya back kid.
-
Tom,
How about I bring a couple of Jim Walker Firebats and my last Veco Renegade ... Johnson Combat Special ... of course.

Now Thass what I'm talkin about!!
-
About 3 weeks to go... This might be a real good time to drag your Half Fast down from the rafters and patch up the silk.
-
If I can the almost 50 year old Voo Doo up and running with the Johnson CS then all I will need is a ride to the field! ;D

10am? #^
-
Yes. 10am sounds good! Please bring out any thing from 'the day'. I guess a pull test would be a good idea, eh?
-
This is going to be a fun day. I'll have my" unfinished" new Scrambler for display. :-[ Too much stunt these days ...
-
Just fly it!!

PLEASE check out the "CONTEST RESULTS " column post ( 09/08/2013) by Tom Hampshire regarding the "results " of one of the best gathering of combat ships from the 50s , 60s, and 70s in a LONG, LONG TIME !

I truly enjoyed Banjock spinning around flying the MK7. It was neat to see Dan and my son in the circle just enjoying themselves. Ken

Tom,
Nice video. To those who are interested in viewing more great still shots of the day, go to GSCB.US and click on 2013 pics.
Thanks go, I believe, to Tom Hampshire and Rich Peabody. Apologies to anyone else who may have provided pics.

What was Tom using on the front end of that Cat?
-
G21-.35
-
Thanks...it was a-hummin' nicely ;)
Did I hear someone say the time was 15.5? If that was so, then the Cat was doing 116 mph H^^
-
I think TL must have edited that film. Shortly after, the stab pulled out of the boom and the Cat tumbled through the air and planted itself several inches underground. Repairs are underway! Motor ok thanks to the softish GSCB earth. G-21 sounded good with a prop I never tried before. APC 7.8x7. Al had me at 15.2. TS
-
15.2, that's over 118 mph #^. I'll have to try that prop. How much nitro? The Cat looked like it turned pretty good, too.
