Veco Renegade Memory

Dan McEntee has a Veco Renegade kit for sale in the classifieds.  He apparently wondered if it dated back to a time when the Walker patent was an issue/problem, so I assured him it was current in the early '60s.  Then related one of my memories from the '63 Nata that some here might enjoy -
