Supertigre C 35 TONGUE Muffler
« on: October 31, 2018, 07:24:26 AM »
Does anyone make a tongue muffler for the  ST C.35 ? (G.35 should be similar)
Got the later version with tangs on either side of the exhaust port.
Thanks

Can't help you but...

What'cha gonna' put it on???

This past Saturday I received my C-35 back from Gluedobber's Tigre Guru Randy Daily. Wow... looks fabulous and feels awesome. This is the same Tigre that I purchased as a kid and has been neglected for decades. Nice to have it back... but I doubt I'll ever build an airplane for it.  :'(

Two Fox guys with  Supertigres -haha.
Not in the speed league with my LS 36x BB or those with the Gardner P/L.
This one runs quite well. Easy start.
 Pacifier ala East Coast.
Just like taylor ham & Italian Hot dogs. Got to experience it.

Okay... I remember talking of putting an ST on your Voodoo.

If I had more motivation, I could see building an appropriate ship for my C-35 to power.

Ah yes... east coast diner n' dive food: Good stuff.

Frankie, That would be the same as a G-21 .46. There should be some of those in the stunt crowd. I just put my C .35 on my 1970 Nemesis. Should be fun.   TS

That's how the original flew until Howard got the hots for speed.  The C .35 was good for 100-105 out of the box.  Adjusting the head depth, plug depth, and increasing the shaft timing a bit would get it up to 110mph.

The G-21.35 could pretty easily go near 120 mph on a Nemesis.  For maybe as many as 10-15 flights.  It made the plane nose heavy which required re-trimming. Then it would suddenly get really hard to set.  A couple more runs could ruin the P/L going lean before it puked the shaft at the crankport.

The moral of the story ............. run a Fox.......(or just stay with the Super Tigre C .35).  I did.       D>K       H^^

The G.21 would puke the shaft running on 10% if it was a good one.  It just took longer.  The 12mm shaft and the way the port was cut was just bad all around.

ps  nobody had thought of partially filling the shaft with JB Weld, which may not have even been readily available.
