I had a Scrapper in the early 60's with a ST 35 Combat special, built from scratch because the kit (Ambroid?) at about $3.95 was too pricey. Your photo makes me think I should get the plans from Barry Baxter. I still have that ST35 by the way, in excellent condition. The Scrapper was the last "tailed" combat model before we all converted to VooDoos and the like. HooHah!

What the heck is yours covered with? Looks like carbon veil but I don't think that could be right.

Looks like black silk...there's a piece of it lying under the pencil.
