Only six days after the TT you might expect a small turnout and that's exactly what we got. But we had nice weather and it was a nice small day of flying.
Several of us who sat out the TT used the chance release some pent up competativness, including Job Brzys, Ken Towers, Don Sopka, and myself.
Ron Colombo unfortunately took yet another injury to his right arm this week and was unable to repeat his 1983 TT feat of winning left-handed.
Speed Limit Combat - 3 entries
1st Jon Brzys
2nd Don Sopka
3rd Ron Colombo
Jon & Don jousted for a while, then both came down in a nice collision. Don pulled ahead on the exchange of pit stops, by Jon was able to win the old fashion way, by cutting the streamer.
F2D - Sunday, September 13th
1st - Lou Scavone, Sterling Hts, Michgian
2nd - Paul Smith, Sterling Hts, Michigan
3rd - Jon (not Ed) Brzys, South Lyon, MI
4th - Ron Colombo, Livonia, MI
It would have been a bigger win a week ago, but a win is a win, so put it in the win column and see you in Toronto, September 26th.
PS: Ronnie's right arm took a hit from carrier job he was helping pit for Marcus and Leon.
