Guys,
What material do you use for a low pressure system to hold about 4oz? Seems the old pacifier's could do that will the pipette tips do that?

Thin wall surgical tubing. No idea where to get it anymore, we tied the ends. Used doped cardboard tubes in the wing LE to house them. Used baby pacifiers on the larger motors.

The pipettes are good for a lower pressure feed and will handle 4oz.

Try MBS Model supply. They have an excellent variety of tubing as well as fittings for it. They're in Topeka KS.

Hi Ken, besides planes I had to get a pile of bladder tubing. The thinwall stuff(1.2mm) , same tubing 12 ft(55grams). I got some 3/16in x 1.2mm Red tubing, but some people run in in F2D or sport planes. It works especially well for 049' and even 020'. It is fragile though, so don't blow it up fast. Try to use a clear plastic bladder tube light 3/4(for 3/16in Red) or 1 in. tubing from Home Depot, or others, it will easily fill up to an in. diameter too. It must be kept out of the sun, and not left lying around with any fuel in it.
Also, avoid using spit on latex tubing of any kind. It may only last one flight session before it starts acting up or popping.

I was considering taking the Allstate 3-year insurance plan for $2.99.
I wonder what they would think about a couple o blown pacifiers.

! You need a whole lot more than $2.99 just to insure the paper the $2.99 you may have paid.
On the other hand, F2D flyers, particularly in Europe, seem to like shorter- length equal to diameter. As a result, most F2D flyers in the US use the same specs because they mostly buy the planes, not build them. It looks like most fuel compartments are about 2.5in.(6.5cm) and about 12-13centimeters long. 2.5cm just happens the match with the US fluorescent to tube that is just over 2.5 in.
