« on: January 19, 2015, 12:23:30 PM »
That's what I like to do the most,
feeling tired ,maybe "little dizzy" or so,
go out to the field and
get some extra Adrenalin.
5 Min's or so later,
feeeling much BETTER and
my "PROFI" Combat Engine too.

Yep...Peter G. GER-1223

who needs one or two  "PROFI´S , first unrun, second only 4 flights ,

Buddy and I have been playing with Foras.  They take a pretty predictable 10 runs to get broken in and running on fewer gaskets.  4 ground runs at a fast 4 cycle,  a couple of flights.  Then lean it out and run a couple more, probably can take out a gasket.  Couple more flights and you can usually remove a second gasket.  Then they run well, but more runs they will pick up some more power.

The two Zalp motors we got took nearly twice as many runs but seemed to end up just a touch faster.

Phil

I am with you, totally agree.
Back to the days when I was competing in F2D I used to fly 6 Fora Engines at comps..
Very strong and reliable runners with very smooth bearings  I had.
Also played with 0.05mm soft copper head gaskets for the best Glow Plug milage.
They all went to my Spanish Combat Friends with a "BIG SMILE" on their faces.
My Profi (with the wright prop) seems to produce a hair or two more of torque like the Fora.
Pulls much stronger in very tight Corners allmost without any loss of airspeed.
0,5 sec./ 10laps faster then my Fora.
The downside, lost one Profi because broken conrod.
It seems to be the WEAK POINT of this Engine.
Maybe I will give try to another one this summer,  but
only when I get tired again.
