Title: Lincoln Nats transformer blow video.
Post by: Greg McCoy on January 13, 2015, 06:09:02 PM
I saw a video years ago by Jeff Johnson, as I recall it seemed from a different perspective, This one popped up on facebook by Aimee Olson, via Pete Plunkett. Showing the match that blew out transformers in Lincoln NB.

I saw the video OK.  It's not so smart to publicize this kind of stuff.  It's also surprising that back in the day of expensive film cameras and crude video systems somebody happened to film it.

The was a wimpy power line to get taken of by some .018" lines.  I saw one over in Canada (live) where the power lines vaporized the control lines in a microsecond like a flash bulb and did not phase the grid.
