1/2A will be double elimination


This is a different from the rounds format that we normally fly due to the type of awards being presented. The Second Chance  award is to compensate for not flying 4 rounds. That will give everyone at least 3 matches. We want everyone to fly as many matches as possible.

Basic Requirements:
Any engine size allowed up to a maximum size or 40
Any aircraft allowed
Any fuel system allowed

Speed Limit:
Aircraft must not exceed 75 mph.
This will be calculated at the beginning of the match by timing the aircraft for two laps while pulling a full streamer.
the time shall not be less than 7.3 seconds (6.85 seconds W/O Streamer) for two laps.
If model is too fast it must be grounded and repaired to not exceed speed limit.
No airtime will be acquired until model does not exceed the speed limit.
Venturi must be fixed. No adjusting throttles in air.

Starting:
Pilots must start their own engines, or pilot must stay outside flying circle until their engine is started by the pit crew.
Electric starters are allowed/encouraged.
Lines:
- 60' +/-6" .018
- Spectra (or equalivant ) flying lines will be allowed
- pull test requirements. 35 lb
 
Scoring:
- 100 pts for each cut on the streamer. (No limit on cuts)
- 100 pts for the FIRST cut (Kill) on the string. Kill does NOT end the match
- 1 pt for each second Airborne
- Midair does not end the match. (No second watch)

Matching:
Double elimination
Random selection with an effort to keep pilots from the same area separated and to avoid rematches until later rounds
A separate Second Chance Round will be flown by the first four (?) pilots that go out depending on the number of pilots entered.

SWAP MEET
Bring anything you are not using to sell to someone who cannot live without it. Tables are limited so bring your own if there is a lot of items that need a new home.

I talked with Ken last week. With busy work schedule they will not be coming.
We will miss them and hope to see them in the future.

1/2A winners. Don Stoneman 3rd, Mike Evans 2nd, Mike Londke 1st. I also purchased some of Clayton Smiths old combat planes for $10 a piece they should be fun to bang around with. I won the losers bracket in Speed Limit and received a new Yaro Speed Limit plane.
