Howz'about a little 1/4A combat???
« on: August 19, 2009, 08:14:46 PM »
Just a couple of .020-powered combat wings.  Not really designed with landing gear but I need the ROG capability to launch from my stooge. One is a flat-plate wing; one built-up. They're both around 2 oz. RTF. Just for fun; I can fly them in my back yard--room for 20' lines now that I've lost another tree...

Neat idea!

Have you flown them with a streamer attached?

No, I haven't flown them at all yet.  I'm thinking maybe 1/4" wide crepe paper, maybe 3' or 4' long, on about 2' of thread?  Don't think I'd have to worry about it getting whipped off from the blinding speed...
