I missed that one back then Maybe that was one of the engines that Gene Dunham sold me that I put on a Big Iron for the 64 NATS. It was a screamer until putting up a flight at Swope Park before the contest when the rod gave way and blew the bottom mount off the Big Iron. I still have my book that Hi Johnson put out on how to improve his engines. D>K

There is a story that one of the Detroit combat flyers spent the big bucks for one of these. Even then, $22.50 wasn't all that much of a leap from the usual $11 to $16 for a combat engine.
He ruined it by over-tightening the NVA before he ever got it run. The venturi had been opened-up to where the metal was paper-thin.
