Fox Mk7 Head Shim
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:17:58 AM »
I need to replace the head shim in a Fox Mk7.  So far my searches haven't turned up anything.  Can someone help me to find something that would fit?

Thanks,
Jason

I believe Fox used the same .800 bore on all the 36 engines.  That means that any 35-36 gasket will fit.
You'll need at least a cheap caliper to measure the head clearance.  Most of the Schneurle engines run somewhere between .010 and .020.  a larger head clearance won't burn out plugs as easily.

Thank you, sir.  I may actually have access to some Fox 35 gaskets.  I didn't think to try one of them!
