Hey Mike ,

Traditionally I'd say about 10 AM . Sometimes a bit later . I try to show up about 9 to make a few test flights .

Watch out for the wildlife . Four years ago a 10 point buck ran over the field during Team Trials !

Thanks Brad. I drove  by the field yesterday, its mowed and looks good. Boy that part of Detroit sure has changed. I grew up about 10 blocks from Rouge Park. The home my parents raised 4 kids in is a burned out shell. The street I grew up on has roughly 25 houses on it. I counted 2 of them occupied, the rest are vacant or burned. Most have been stripped of all the copper and aluminum siding. It looks like a war zone. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in, I cant believe what its become. What a shame.  Mike

We’re still flying at the same old field since the beginning of time.  The city doesn’t maintain it much anymore but the Strathmoor Club took over and it’s better than ever.  The latest Colombo gate lock system is his best work yet.
Contestants came from far & wide.  Cleveland, Toronto, Dresden, Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville, downriver, and Macomb.
