Title: Control horn source
Post by: Tim Chenevert on February 16, 2018, 05:16:00 AM
I am beginning a scratch built Sneeker and looking for a source to buy couple metal control horns. I have nylon ones but would like to go with the plans recommendation of metal. Thanks, Tim

Tim... a lot of thicker Tin is right in your cupboard.... not too hard to envision a three dimensional cut of what you have on hand... hell a slab of K&B brass or tin tank material is easy to cut into and bend up a METAL control horn

No need to buy this simple piece.... fly the plane and grin every time KNOWING that YOU cobbled the bits n parts from you wife's stuff.... grin

You know Fred, I could make my own using the one on my old Sneeker as a guide! Not real sure about using my wife’s stuff right now, I have been cutting out the balsa parts on her glass top stove because it has more light....she is not too pleased! Lol Tim

+1 on this. That's my vote. I make them myself sometimes with two 4-40 round T-nuts and the little ez connect rc guys use for ailerons control rods.  It basically adds up to making this dubro set.
