Bought a CS .28 to see if it could be used for speed limit combat, as an R/C engine this thing is complete garbage I say that because the carb on it did not function at all, it leaked air so bad that with the needle closed tight it still ran rich...lol I kid you not

So I replaced it with LA carb and it ran beautifully, ran two 6 oz. tanks through it and now it starts in 1 or 2 flips every time, next I need to mod a LA .25 venturi by drilling a small hole and installing a piece of tubing so I can use a remote needle other than that so far so good but boy I feel sorry for anyone who buys this thing as an R/C engine.

CS engines have been know to wear out prematurely or just decide to break for no apparent reason. For that reason most avoid the brand like the plague. Not to mention as you have discovered quality assurance is non existant and warrenty work or parts is a non issue Hopefully you will have good luck with it and you'll let us know how well it holds up and performs.

I have purchased 2 CS Oliver Tiger replicas. One was fine and runs very well, although I have read that they go south rapidly. The second was so bad that I could not even get a pop. I have also read that they did not have a QC department because that would mean that one of the workers was not doing something correctly and in the PRC that was not possible. This data is from about 8=10 years ago but I would not bet on there having been much change.

Almost bought a CS diesel from a friend, but took it home to check it out first. Pulled the backplate, took one look inside, and gave it back to him.

The crank had no counter balance weight, and a heavy piston!
