Combat at Brodak's  2007

Wow, couldn't have been better.  20 entries, 19 who flew.  We got some excellent volunteers for judging, Tom Zon, Charley Johnson, Stu Mossman, and John Wegenka.  The weather was gorgeous.

Fourteen of the flyers were Sportsman, a record.  A few of them may have to move out next year.  Mike Alimov placed fourth with 2194 pts to take the Sportsman award.  He's come a long way in 3 years.

             Pilot    Cuts    Midairs    Score
1     Louis Lopez  7         0         2654
2    Tom Skinner  7         0         2546
3     Roy Glenn    5         0         2329
4    Mike Alimov   4         0         2194
5   Alberto Parra  3         0         2108
6    Phil Cartier    5         1         1898
7    Dan Reedy    4         1         1836
8   Javier Aguiar  2         1         1722
9    Jim Skinner   1         0         1683
10   Gil Reedy     6         1         1680

We'll stop there to protect the innocent.  We had two midairs, one rather spectacular, and two linetangle/crashes.  Rick Blankenship and I had one of those “what the heck happened?” midairs half way through the match.  Not a good move, we both would have done much better with another 4-500 pts.
