Airframes for sale at Nats?
« on: June 12, 2016, 11:52:46 AM »
I have always enjoyed flying combat planes. I was wondering if anyone still sells ARF airframes at the NATs. I haven't flown combat actively since the '80's which was the early days of the Russian arfs. I thought I'd make the trip up to AMA if any would be available.

Thanks, Matt

welcome back Matt.
I imagine someone will be selling arfs at the nats, more can be found by going online to the arf's being sold world wide.

Do you need a fleet or just one or two? I should have enough to let go of a couple if I dont destroy them all.

Bob, do you have a set of plans for your Dad's Raunchy?
Think for yourself !  XXX might win the Nats, be an expert on designing, building, finishing, flying, tuning engines - but you might not wanna take tax advice from him.  Or consider his views on the climate to be fact ...

Not looking for a fleet, just a couple to sport fly.
I always wanted to order some online but shipping costs usually killed it for me.

I dont have an original set. Wish I did. I bought a set from Barry Baxter to mount in the museum display.

I'll sell a couple if I dont use them all. Several folks probably will do the same. You can pick the ones you may like. Price varies on design, carbon parts, shutoff system etc. You could Yaro to bring some to the Nats I bet. No shipping that way. Plus he would have the other parts you may need. lines, handles, motor mounts.   http://aerohobby.ca/store/

I plan to have 1/2 A kits for sale of my foamy design. Not ARF though.  But nice to avoid shipping.

At the Nats, F2D is Sat and Sun followed by F2D Fast and Speed Limit on Mon and Tues.  Most pilots are using the same planes for all four of these events.  Inevitably there will be pilots with planes they will sell after the dust clears.  Maybe new, maybe used, maybe something that isnt quite good enough for f2d but great for sport flying.

I'll watch the weather but I'll plan to be there Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks, Matt
