Title: 70's combat models
Post by: Steve Reeve on March 04, 2009, 04:07:38 AM
I want to build some 70's style F2D models for my modified OS15La's, but I cant decide between A Nemesis, Samurai or Monoboom, can any one with first hand experience with these models make any suggestion or different models wort a try?

I am also looking for some info on the mods carried out on the fox 15BB of the era.

Models will be built from foam rather than balsa.

Regards

Those all good ideas, but a little tough to build.

It has been found that a plain, full size VooDoo will go as good as anything else with a good, strong 15.   It's the easist to build, fun to fly, and not at a disadvantage, should you ever actually get into a match.

Thanks Paul, was planning on foam wings to ease the building process. Monoboom version of original voodoo could be a goer.

Have started to build a Samurai, photo attached.

Thanks to Gravitywell for the Voodoo scan, will build one next so I can decide which one I like best.

I'd use a Nemesis.  If you want to build it with foam wings, though, you might as well make something tapered, such as Rudner's Scalpel.
