2013 NATs Schedule Change

We had a great turnout for the Combat NATs this year and would like to keep that momentum going.

The AMA EC is trying to move C/L events to the week of July 4. By all accounts this is bad for attendence!!!

Independence Day is Thursday, July 4th.  Those who still go in will generally get Friday the 5th off, too.  This might actually be GOOD for attendance.

Personally, I don't go in anymore, so the next week would be just as good for me.  But two days off for the work force is not a bad thing.

No go as AMA does not like flying on Saturday and Sunday for most events.   They want a Monday thru Friday set up so they can get ready for the radio guys.

Righto - Monday through Friday, July 1 to 5, but only three days of lost production for those in the work force.  Back in the past millenium I always went to contests on Memorial Day, Independance day and Labour Day.  They had a lot of entries.

The AMA has C/L over a barrel.  They can dictate to us whatever dates they choose, and we will have very little say so about it.  The bigger the percentage of members always will demand the "best times" that they decide on.

One of the "bad" things about having the C/L NATS on the week of July 4 is that those with long trips will be going home on a "terrible" (for traveling) weekend.  Of course the guys at the top of the AMA ladder do not concern themselves with a trivial matter such as that.
