TSC elections are complete and the incumbent committee has been reelected.

The Starthmoor Model Airplane Club of Detroit Michigan is preparing to offer to the host the TT at River Rouge Park again.

The timing and format will be similar to the 2009 event, with the exception that I, Paul Smith, will be the Contest Director in 2011.

If any other clubs are interested in competing for the honor of hosting the TT, please chime in soon. We can discuss this before it's time to vote.

The Strathmoor Club of Detroit has submitted an offer to host the 2011 TT for the 2012 F2D WC, at Rouge Park again. Labor Day weekend as usual..

The operation will be similar to 2009 with some continuous improvement enhancements.

2009 was the first TT with flyaway shutoffs. This extremely radial new rule presented management challenges that would have slowed things down anywhere. I think we handled it well for a first effort. By 2011, the contestants and judges should have this rule in hand and be ready for the next change.

The new "fix" for 2011 will be the 6 mm muffler (in lieu of 8 mm). Not so hard to measure, but a rule that wasn't much of an issue until now.

We welcome any bids from other venues. TSC and program participants will vote on the site whenever the committee wishes.
