Back in November in Phoenix I flew in my first F2D contest since the '97 TT. Great contest, plenty of good flying. It was fun! Wanted to go the this year's TT but it looks like they will be on Labor Day, same time as the stunt trials and can't be two places at once. Looking for other action.
Is there a schedule of other contests this year??

Hey Phil,
Come back to Phoenix March 13- 15th. One thing to remember is you will need a shut off now.

Detroit, May 17,
Toronto, June 14,
Dresden, June 27,
Muncie, July 9,
Dresden, August 22,
TT, Sept 5-7
Detroit, Sept 13,
Toronto, Sept 26.
With the exception of Muncie with 6, we averaged at least 8 entries per event in '08.
The AMA Nats at Muncie will be run however the ED of the year decides. '08 was one plane, one mechanic, one helmet and double elim.
All of the Ontario and Michigan events are always FULL-FAI; two planes, two mechanics, three helmets, and double elim. Bring lots of stuff!
So many contests, so many airplanes, so few shutoffs.
ps:
We had dinner last night (Feb 1) at AJ's Big River. Just while we were watching, the ice on the Saint Claire River was starting to break up and flow downstream. At this rate, the frontier will be open before April.

Neil Simpson has posted 2009 New England schedule of speed limit and F2D competitions at http://necn.homestead.com.
If interested, you would want to contact Neil or Mark Rudner about rules for a particular date - often the F2D is run with
modified "single airplane" rules. The schedule is also tentative at this point which is another reason to check with Neil.
