I know you are looking for a kit, but if you or anyone else would like to buy the plans and make it yourself, you can buy the plans for $14 plus shipping from Ultra Hobby Products. https://ultrahobbyproducts.com/plans-list-page-one

Another idea is to buy the plans and buy a Thunderbird or Skylark kit and reshape whatever parts are necessary to make it a Lark. Brodak sells a Thunderbird kit.

The late Kenn Smith made some kits Of the Lark with Southwick's blessing. that was in the early-mid '90's as I recall. You may find one of those, if you're lucky. They were really great kits of a really nice classic design. Kenn was a great guy, and his products were very well done.

I agree with Mr. Miller.,, I built one from a Smith kit and it flew beautifully,, Until a building error  on my part put it straight into the ground as it recovered from a reverse wing over... I still have one of those kits, but it is NOT for sale.. I am going to build it.  I sold one to Ronnie Thompson..  You might be able to talk him out of it.

The variety of Skylarks is interesting!! I saw Ed's model at VSC one year and noticed it was a pretty large model. Then in researching it, and talking with Bill Byles , who drew up the plans Ed signed off on, you also have the magazine plan as presented in Model  Airplane News, , and the Sterling kit plan, which really isn't a full plan because they wanted you to buy another kit. They all fly well and are all classic legal. Outerzone has the M.A.N. plan and would get you there if you can't find a kit. I have both the Skylark and the Lark kit that Kenn Smith put out and ordered them that year at VSC. i don't think I'm ready to part with either yet but gives you an idea of what you can be looking for.

I would go with what Russ as said. A Thunderbird kit with those suggestions. Those kits are rare/hard to come by. As one can see, those who have them are not ready to part with them. The T-Bird would be easy to tweak to a Lark look alike. Maybe not exact but you would have the look you are looking for.

I also have a Kenn Smith Lark kit, and am not willing to sell it. I plan to start building it later this year. The kit is top quality. I can't wait to get started on it and get it in the air.

There were two Lark planes. The Lark by Charles Mackey was sold as a kit by RSM Distribution. The Lark by Ed Southwick is a different plane. It's got an airfoil that's 2 3/8" thick, and round behind the spar like a lot of current airfoils being used today. That will probably be the biggest difference between the Ed Southwick Lark and the Thunderbird or Skylark. You will need to add some wood to each Thunderbird rib to make it bigger and rounder, or make new ribs. The other parts should be easy to re-shape as necessary.

Best of luck.

As stated earlier, get the full size plans of the Skylark that you like.   It is not that hard to trace parts and make templates.   I've had two Sterlings kits.  The first one was built box stock like Sterling said to do it.  Some how, I wound up with a twist in the wing.   I gave that one away to a person that just wanted something to fly.   The second one was a clone of the kit.   Built the wing in one piece on a jig this time checking everything.   Flew great.  Don't remember what I did with it.
