Looking for an rear intake side exhaust O.S. .40 SR engine, preferably the control line version, but r/c version ok. These had both conventional, and dykes type rings during production. I prefer the dykes version, but will take what I can get. I prefer as close to new as possible. Let me know what you have and price.

Les, I have one that I could sellbut I have not looked at it for a while. If interested send message and I will dig it out. Ran nice in a carrier plane a 'few' years ago. T

Les, your post begs the question: what for?

Hey Les,
Doing some Nostalgia Rat? I ran this engine for a little while before moving on to the K&B 40S. Still have it!

Yes, I have long threatened to build a copy of my 100 mile rat race winning airplane from maannny decades ago, 1982 to be exact. Yes, a nostalgia thing to be sure, and also to perform some nostalgia flights and possibly a demo race for those who may still have these things kicking around and are brave (foolish??) enough to join in.
I've also had visions of testing a Quickie Rat legal engine in a full bodied rat just to see how much faster they would be... ;D

When pipe stunt first started I used one on a plane with a metal speed pipe. It ran at about 12k and was great. Just like a little sewing machine I thought. Kinda like electrics today. I still think rear intake motors make alot of sense for stunt motors.

I think I have one, Les. At least the memory says so, I'd actually have to find it! :-)
What would it be worth to you?

Hi Bill
If you eventually find it, and it's the drum valve version with dykes ring, send me some pics and we can go from there.
Cheers, Les

FYI, you can shorten the list to: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234906402103 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/234906402103) , all before the first question mark. Others who click on it will still be taken to the item direct. Rest is coded information that may also contain some of your own personal info. (Just saying.) :o D>K H^^
