I bought this kit with the intention of building and flying it.  But before I got started I also came into possession of a Jetco kit which was not in "collectible" condition, so I proceeded to assemble the Jetco kit.  I do not foresee the possibility of building BOTH Shark 45's.

So I am offering for sale the RSM kit for the price of $300US, plus postage.  I have gotten a pretty good education is shipping recently and I estimate a USPS cost of under $45 in the original 48 US states.  I am willing to ship anywhere at the cost and risk of the buyer. 

Note:  The assembled pitchers are of the Jetco kit, not the RSM kit that I'm offering to sell.   It's not that I need the cash.  I just want offer this fine kit to a modeler who wants it. 

Yes the kit is still available.  My medium of exchange is paper checks delivered by the USPS.

In my least such venture, the USPS bid about $40 compared to $160 from The Private sector. 

Paul, could you please post the link to the postage calculator page at the USPS? I tried, but all I got was location maps to all the post offices in my area and a bunch of whiney complaints on Yelp. And I have a rare and expensive kit ready to ship to California. Steve

Yes. Yes you are! YIKES!  And thanks. As usual, I got the info a day late...and a dollar short. Self-weighing and printing the postage label at home might just be worth investigating.

I had a kit to mail off yesterday am, for which I showed up early to my local PO, figuring they'd open at 8am, but no, they open at 8:30am, unlike any civilized business. The kit I mailed off cost $23.65 (ground) to central California. Not horrible. Included $100 insurance at no extra cost.    Steve

I use the do-it-yourself function to get a good estimate.
But when I pull the trigger I go in person to the PO to get an authoritative price.
I can imagine paying $54 on the do-it-yourself and having the package returned because I'm a few cents off the official price.

    Go Pirateship.com. All you need is a decent scale and set up an account. Get your quote, and if everyone's happy, then buy the label, apply it to the package, and drop it off at a post office. I usually have them scan it and give me a receipt so that starts the tracking trail. If bot parties supply cell numbers and email addresses, both can get progress reports and updates. I have never had an issue with them is the 4 years or so I have been using the service and i always saves some money, sometimes significant saving, and a choice between USPS and UPS. I just shipped a kit last month to a guy for less than $15 on UPS when the USPS quote was over $20. It can vary so it pays to really look at the quotes.
