Looking for the May 1986 issue of Model Builder magazine.
-
Do you need the whole magazine or just something out of it? I just got rid off all my extras magazines so pretty sure I don't have any extra copies, but do have Model Builder complete in hard copies and digital form.

Dan,
Looking for the complete magazine. During that period of time I was the control line column writer for them. I have a fairly complete collection of MB, but for some reason this one disappeared.

Keep your eye on eBay. There is still a market on there for magazines. Several pretty decent sellers also. Some prices get crazy but other are pretty reasonable for single issues. I'll double check my stash but don't think I have any extras.
This turned up on a quick search. Sometimes you can get a whole year for what some sellers want for a single issue;

Mike,
I'll see what I have in my magazine collection. It may take some digging.

I subscribed to Model Builder Magazine starting with their first issue. I had a complete, unbroken collection. When I moved to Oregon, I wrote to the AMA Museum asking if they would be interested in EVERY copy Of MB ever printed. They wrote back "Sure, send them in".
Wait just a minute! I estimated postage at something over $80 for the lot.
I like the folks at AMA, but I don't like them quite that much!

Floyd,
About donations to the AMA museum. A deduction on income tax can be made for such donations. The total deduction could be based on a value of each magazine or a value of each year (look at eBay for some idea) and the cost of shipping is also deductible. The total deduction might more than cover the shipping cost. Something to think about.

Mike,
I have the May 1986 issue if Model Builder. It's well loved, but not bad shape. PM your address and I will mail it out on Tuesday.
