Looking for a couple Kaz Minato carbon 8.25oz carbon tanks with the attached plumbing arrangement. The pickup has a large diameter tubing. Standard diameter tubing would work as well.
If anyone has a couple of these tanks they’re willing to part with, please let me know!

I think mostly just the light weight. A metal tank that size can be up to 2 1/2 ounces. The carbon tanks around an ounce depending upon plumbing. Downside might be more likely to develop leaks where the tubing penetrates due to vibration. The ones I've seen have the tubes held in place with JB weld or similar.

It would seem to me a plastic tank would be a good compromise.

It can be very hard to arrange the desired plumbing in a plastic tank, to be able to control the run and cutoff habits predictably. They are OK for general purpose flying but not used much in high end competition.

Unfortunately Sparky’s tanks won’t work. To fit an 8.25oz tank from sparky, we’d need a tank that’s 8.25 inches long. My tank compartment has 6” of room. The Kaz tanks are taller. I run Dave’s setup and use the Kaz hard plumbing tank as well (with big fuel tubing as well). One tank I repaired with JB weld, it will be the backup’s backup tank. another hasn’t leaked in the 4 years I’ve been running it.
In our discussions, Dave couldn’t get the run he wanted with a clunk tank. These specific tanks work great for the run we’re after!
