Looking for........
« on: March 17, 2023, 05:19:11 PM »
I would like to find a kit for a plane called the FENIX.    I believe it was a kit from Spain ??      Had one a couple years ago but demolished it on some very solid ground.

Hi Mr. Dalton,
This plan is on at least one of the plans sharing sites. I had a CNC kit cutter in Canada cut my Frog Mosquito kit (with my desired changes), and also a Keil Kraft Radian. I haven't built either yet, but closely checked both kits. I feel like they'll build fine. You may want to reach out to Mr. Mark Winstanley of Kanata Aircraft Models. He advertises on facebook, RCGroups, and I have his email. I bet he could cut the Fenix. Except for military deployments calling home, he is the only International call I've ever made.

Hi all.
The model shown in the picture is a modified Fenix. The original airfoil is semi-simetrical, and the shape is different too. Originally is a trainer for a 2,49 cc (0.15 cu.in) diesel engine.

Here is a PDF of the original Modelhob plan, as included in the former kit.

Kind regards from Spain.

Manuel.

Thanks Jim & Manuel
Jim.   I believe I did share that one with you and I do have a set of the plans from the kit.    The canopy is the hard part but I may look into a kit being cut.

Thank you also Manuel,   you saw the changes right off.     The wing is also set higher in the fuslage  and there is more elevator on my model.  It was not any super stunter but a very nice flyer for just fun or even as a ttrainer.

If I don't find another kit I will likely build one from the plan.
