Title: Wood Cutting Started
Post by: Jim Pollock on April 18, 2007, 11:09:16 AM
Mark this DAY!  :o

April 18th 2007

I started cutting wood for an OD Akromaster.  Hopefully, I can build one quicker that I did the first time!
I now have a Stab/Elevators, Flaps, Rudder and shortly will have fuselage sides and doublers.
Then all I will need is Ribs, Spar, Tips and sheeting....Up, Up and Away!

That sounds great, Jim!  To have your own Classic ship to use is rewarding, I'm sure.  Get that puppy finished and bring it up to Huntersville!  You know where that is. y1  ;D

What power will you be using??

Uhh? This engine might just be a tad under powered for that Akro...but hey James, that should be an awesome model in the air. All the best to you on that new project.

Well Guys,

I think no one believed me about the Akromaster, BUT, I found a picture of the original in a moving box.
Here it is!

Good luck, Jim, and keep plugging along!  You know it will probably be a better plane now with the ability to jig things, all the adjustable tricks and the trimming knowledge we now have!
