Fixit, Tailskid and Bunny -- especially Bunny -- were a prime reason for buying or subscribing to FM back in the '50s.  Wish someone would draw that feature again!

I too am guilty of reading my old model magazines. Some of the old ones seem to hold more excitement for me than the new ones. I don't know what it is, but that old paper and the content just does something for me that the new ones don't have. When I was in high school in the 50's, we had Air Trails in the library. It is no wonder my grades suffered as I was always reading them in study hall instead of doing my required lessons. I did do OK in shop though since I could make parts for my engines there. History suffered along with civics and other subjects. I seemed to think that model airplanes, cars, motorcycles, and girls, were more important. Go figure.
