Title: Some thoughts on Golf and C/L Stunt
Post by: Norvaldo on April 25, 2007, 01:37:54 PM
Hi All.
I have been doing some thinking on Golf and Stunt flying

In Golf they use a Tee and if they play well the get a Birdie.
In Stunt   we have airplane models (see pictures).
Both have legends named Palmer .. (Arnold and Bob)
Both sports are popular among people who have reached or are close to retirement.
Both are equally popular as serious contests and leisure sports.

For myself i fly stunt and leave the golfing to my 2 eldest  sons.

Some comments on the plane:
As you can see on the wings it has not been given a name yet but i will think of something.

Engine is RO-Jett .40  . Weight is 45 Oz.
It is due to be flown tomorrow..

Update: It was flown today. As expected.. It flies great.  Needed some trimming but nothing radical.

I was alone flying today  so i only saw the side of the fuselage ( luckily :) ) but i am sure it is nice  in the air.
There is just this 'something graceful' in the lines of the T.bird.

Hi  That is a good looking  plane. I think you will be happy with it and the engine. Mine both balance on the edge of the spar and will turn quickly. On one i run a masterairscrew 11/5 three blade prop the other is an 11.25/4.5 gator prop. Good luck with it.       George

Maybe if CL flyers paid the field owner $21 every time we fly, there would be as many CL fields as golf courses.
