Plane choice for Silver Foxx 40
«

I have a NIB Silver Foxx 40 on the shelf. What size classic plane should I build for it 550, 600, or larger?
Thanks,
John Bocksnick

Go to the RSM Mfg. or Brodak Mfg and maybe SIG and get catches your eye. So many good designs I would not know which to tell you as I don't know what you like.

I used Silver Fox 40's back in the day. Any design that is suitable for a ST-46 will be fine. Numbers?...570 to 620 square inches, keep it below 56 ounces. As was posted, pick out a few possibilities from the RSM or Brodak catalog and post them here for comment if you wish. There are lots to choose from.

like others noted there are a lot of options
perhaps you love Ring Masters... there are large ones to be had as well as scaled up Twisters

The thought just came to me that if you would like to scratch build, check the listings for kits in the vendors corner. Pat Johnston list is a good start and there are several others. The brain fart won't let me think of the others.
