Just beautiful, Dick! I love the Sabre. Walter U. has one one his "to do" list of kits. I can't wait! Let us all know how it flies. Pics would be good.

Hi Dick,
Nice job on Saber!!!  It should fly great with the OS 35S and be a real butt kicker in the Classic wars.

Later,

Mikey

I am sure that the one that Walter Umland is going to do is Bob Lampione's nats winning Sabre. I have the plans for the Jetco Sabre and was always puzzled by this kit. Never heard of the designer and why did jetco kit this plane. What was it's winning pedigree or was it just because it looked soo cool.

It won 2nd place in the 1955 Nats. The designer was Jose Sadurni from ? If the weather gets better I will give it a go. He is from Mexico and had won the Mexican Nationals in 1952-53-54.

There was a thread on this design a long time ago at SSW, and it turned out that Sadurni (from Mexico City) won the US NATS with a different design, then designed this Saber and sold the new design to Jetco. The Saber did not win the NATS, but it is sure a cool looking plane.

Many years ago, I remember seeing a Jetco Saber that Chris Sackett of VGMC and generally known as a CL speed flier built. It was gold metallic for some reason. I don't recall seeing it fly. Maybe Leo would remember it? They are every bit as short as they look in the pictures.

Speaking of pictures, I didn't have any luck negotiating the website. I got page 9 of 83, but couldn't find a way to change to a different page. Clicking on "home" got me a new page that said it couldn't find the website.  Any clues?  n~ Steve
