A fellow modeler asked me for pictures of a MC 202 model by Luciano Compostella, Italian greatest stunter pilot, many times European Champion.
Here they are , along with a 3-views and some informations had from a friend.

Luciano flew two models of semiscale Macchi 202 : in 1971, with whom he won the European Team and in 1999 in Valladolid, Spain, seat of the European Championship that year in which he was defending champion (for the seventh time. ...)
 I have two photos that I took  in September 1973 in Novara, and the 3-views of the second which was published in the Bulletin of Cisalpino
The first was equipped with a silenced G21/46 in an upright position and used three-bladed propeller 10x6 Tornado, fuel was a mix 1 / 3, 5 castor / alcohol without nitro.Its weight was about 1700 gr.
The second gave trouble to Luciano  as a result of  fuel consuming inconsistancy of its  Enya 53 4 stroke engine.

Mr Compostella is a legend!

I have wanted to build a Folgorefor a long time.  Had one designed back in the early 1970's but got sidetracked.  The most beautiful fighter of its time - everything just looks right.

Thanks for the post.  These classic Italian ships are very interesting with upright engines.  Please keep posting stuff on these classic Italian planes.  There was a Fox .35 Hienkel that was published in Aeromodeller that I always liked.  I think it had a straight wing and an upright engine.  Thanks.

These are two drawings had from a friend of mine who has some problems logging in in this forum.
The Heinkel actually is a Skilat by Compostella with a modified fuselage.

I'll be busy this W.E., an RC tow contest for beginners at my home field and another RC tow contest for "oldies" in a nearby town ( two hours highway drive .......you know we drive fast in Italy  ~> ~^)

Thats some aeroplane , spent a bit of time today trying to find the old world champs report with a picture or two of it, and the Aeromodellor Tango artical , for comparison .
Problem with stuff in the shed is you normally find what you were looking for a few months back , Not what your trying to find today . ??? SHELVES aleviate this tendancy .
Need a lot of shelves though , ever seen a Library , there everywhere . <= ;D .

Finally!!! Luciano Compostella getting some much needed,(and overdue) attention on this forum. I consider Luciano to be the "Father" of the the 4 stroke powerplant in stunt. A brilliant innovator and a great pilot.

By the way, Luciano was the center of myself Bob Zambelli's early discussions, concerning 4 stroke motor use in control line stunt. Bob had actually traveled to Italy and flown with a lot their top pilots and got the 411 first hand. Our discussions eventually resulted in my purchasing and developing the first Saito 72,(the hot-high compression one) for my use,(still have it)

GGhisleri....Would it be possible for you to email me a cleaner (not compressed) copy of this plan?  I would really like to look at it a little closer.  It looks like a very nice plan and we so seldom get to see European plans here.

The Heinkel 100 plan:  I flew this 1998-2000 in Classic and VSC.  A great flying plane.  I used a Thunder Tiger 36.

Even though I no longer have my Boeing Phantom Works security badge...I still have friends behind the cyper'-locked doors that I can have some R&D issues taken care of? LL~ AP^
