Nobler lineage
« on: May 11, 2014, 06:37:22 PM »
Was wondering if someone has the pictures, and information if any, of the original Nobler that was a version of the Chief I believe. I've seen a rather fuzzy picture in a magazine some years ago, but don't have it any more. Any and all details would be appreciated. This would be before the 52' Nobler version.  H^^

The kit Brodak sells is the first Nobler as such George Aldrich built.  That airplane was repaired and the plans drawn from it.  I understand that George built and flew a number of Chiefs, but I don't know if he did any modifications as such before the original Nobler.  As a side comment, I watched George build a Nobler in 1955.  He built it off the MAN 1952 plans. Given all the building without plans he did, that strikes me as an unusual thing to have seen.
