I've made a little more progress on the Formula S, hope to finish soon.

Some more.

Now, see, that looks slick. Should be a good plane for you. I always loved the Formula S

Bravo, that looks great. CLP** I really like jet-styled stunters but have yet to make one. 8)

That is slick. Really looks good James!!! What happened to that Hallmark hanging on the wall lacking a nose?

Thanks, got the top block shot tonight (have a spot to fix on the rudder). The Hallmark is still on the wall missing the nose. It's going to get a new fuse this winter, hope to cut some weight out of it as it was a bit heavy. Would have liked more than 10 flights (maybe the next one will live longer).

Looking good so far. H^^

Got the red on the fuse last night.

I'm really liking the looks of this one James. So far it's a really nice, clean looking scheme. I'm curious to see what the rest is going to be like. What are you using for paint?
With those nifty looking pointy things on the fin and stab I sure don't envy you moving it in and out of the house during the flying season! HB~> :##

Wayne,
Thanks, I'm starting to like it. It sat for so long I had lost interest but am getting fired up to finish it. Hope to get the blue on in the next day or so. It's all Brodak dope. The way it's coming out I may skip ink lines.
Those little pointy things have already poked me a couple of times. I'm going to make some covers for transport to hopfully protect them.

James,
Yea, I built a USA-1 and much have poked myself with the tip of the rudder a dozen times while building it. I finally covered the tip with CF veil (to keep from breaking it off) and made a little rudder cover for transport. I would do the same for both the rudder and ends of the stab for the Formula S.
Looks good. Seems some blue and a touch of black and it will be a killer looker.

I shot the blue on the wing and stab last night, plan to have the body finished this week (won't happen tonight, sky is very dark and noisy). I left a stripe of white between the red and blue with the idea of adding another color but my wife likes it like it is/

Couple of more shots.

oh that looks good!!! I think Jim Kostecky would be proud!

Looking good Jim! I agree with the wife, stick with just the red white and blue. With that theme going any other colors will just start to take away from a clean, quality look. Maybe add some finer details for realism here and there with black, and let it go at that. Some well done panel lines would really set this one off. y1

Thank you, hope to have all the color on by the next weekend.

The blue is on the fuse, have some touch ups to take care of then have to decide whether to do clear dope or urethane.

Hi Jim, the plane looks great. Go with the two part clear. But, make sure you let it cure out for a couple of weeks before you do. Otherwise go with the clear dope and hope the humitidy isn't too high. H^^

Now that's just cool. I love this plane. Can't wait to see the final.

Very verl cool jim!!! Can't wait to see the finished product!
